Children
and Parents

Adults

Does your child struggle with anxiety, depression, argumentativeness, demand avoidance, behavioral outbursts, low self-esteem, learning struggles, underachievement, or history of bullying or trauma? Do any of these issues get in the way of your child's enjoyment of life, learning, growing, and thriving? I might be a good fit.

Do you struggle to figure out how to help your child? Are you concerned that your relationship with your child is getting lost in arguments, conflicts, and misunderstandings? I might be a good fit.

Does your child struggle to connect to therapists, does not talk to therapists, does not like to talk about their feelings, and has history of "resisting" therapy?  Has your child found therapists to be annoying or unhelfpul in the past? I might be a good fit.

In addition to the above, I have  deep expertise and love for working with children who are autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, who are viewed by others as quirky, or who feel that they are different...  While PDA is not an official diagnosis in the US, I have  experience with and knowledge of PDA profile. I am a neurodiversity-affirming therapist.

I work from strengh-based perspective, recognizing and building on your child's potential while being respectful of who they are. â€‹

I cherish opportunities to work with children and support parents to be the most effective and supportive to their children.

Does life feel overwhelming for you? Do you struggle with feelings of inadequacy, frustration, shame, anxiety, and maybe even feeling out of control or helpless as you manage your life? Does your mind often return to negative and traumatic events in your distant and recent past? Do you struggle with the intense emotions that come up as you think about these difficult experiences that seem to affect your experiences of the present?

I would love an opportunity to work with you deeply to help you to move on and feel better in your present life.

As an immigrant who made my way from working minimum wage jobs to a PhD and a professional career, I am deeply sensitive to cultural issues and multiple barriers that people often face as they are building their lives. As a trauma survivor and trauma-informed therapist, I have deep compassion and understanding of the care that is needed when touching on painful past events, as well as the incredible potential for healing that humans have. As a mother and a developmental psychologist, I understand on a personal and professional levels the complexities of being a parent and managing relationships in our times.

What Can We Achieve Together?

By working together in a systematic, collaborative, careful, and gradual process, we can make things better. My office is a safe space to explore things that are difficult. For each client, I thoughtfully select approaches and tools that match both the need, the personality, and preferences. I am always transparent in any approach and methodology I use, and my clients always have a chance to consent or decline my ideas as we find the best way to achieve their goals.

I currently accept new psychotherapy clients both in person and telehealth.

Self-pay only. I am happy to provide invoices for you to submit to your insurance provider.
